Rangers Vs. Coyotes
7:00pm, Madison Square Garden
Rangers Record: 19-13-1
Devils Record: 14-9-6
Well after last nights
heroic come from behind victory against the leagues elite team we really saw
the resiliency of this Rangers club. The Penguins were absolutely dominant for
2 periods yet the Blueshirts, behind strong team defense and Hank, made it to
the third trailing by only 1 and the rest was history.
So tonight’s recipe for
success will be similar, as Phoenix plays an aggressive fore-checking style
like the Rangers and Penguins. The
Blueshirts have faired quite well against Phoenix when they have come to town,
but the Coyotes will be playing with a chip on their shoulder as the Devils
shut them out last night in Jersey.
So with Callahan out for
a likely 6 weeks, the boys in blue have to step it up; Especially from Gaborik
who has only 1 goal in his last 6 games.
As for Callahan's defensive and special team skills they will look to
the captain to step in.
Early talk was that
Henrik will be in net, but i believe this could be a good game to get Biron in
the mix as Torts will not want him on the shelf too long.
