Game Day: Rangers vs. Flyers
Can the Rangers take down the top teams in each conference in the same week?
Madison Square Garden 7pm Rangers Record: 26-17-3 Flyers record: 28-11-5
This will be the third time these two rivals will
meet but the first time the Blueshirts get to host the party. Philly
has won the first two meetings, most recently a 4-1 beat down on
December 18th. After a disappointing game in Montreal where the Rangers finally got the legs going in the third could not muster up another
come back. The Rangers will have play 60 minutes to beat the
top team in the east. The Flyers are big and fast, so good work
down low and limiting space through the neutral zone is essential. This
is nothing new for the Rangers as this hard working north-south game
has put them on the radar around the league. It will be interesting to see if Biron gets the
nod as Hank had an emotional outing against the Habs, including a
scrap with the Canadiens Max Pacioretty. However, knowing
Henrik's competitive streak he might want to get right back in the ring in
this Atlantic division rivalry.
