Power Play Finally Comes Through
Rangers Down Penguins

Well things looked dismal early as the Pens jumped out to an early two goal lead. Following the second goal Torts called a crucial timeout and calmly spoke to his team urging them to settle down and there is a lot of game left. Boyle followed by Callahan put the puck past Fleury with two gorgeous deflections. The second period was all Rangers as they found the net three more times with goals from Prospal, Anisimov, and another one for Cally.

The story of this game was special teams as the Rangers converted three times on the power-play and were exceptional on the penalty kill as they found themselves down a man quite often. So what finally clicked on the PP? Well it was pretty simple, quick puck movement and getting the shots off early with traffic in front of the net. It certainly was the difference in this game and will be the difference for this team down the stretch.

Three Stars: 3-Boyle, 2- Staal, 1-Callahan

The Kings who have played very well of late come to Garden on Thursday.
