Matt Duchene and the young Colorado Avalanche are off to a blazing start this season

The Bulletin Board keeps you abreast of the latest news around the NHL Monday-Friday.

- The Colorado Avalanche picked up its fifth-straight road win last night, a 3-2 OT victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs.  The Avalanche is the first team to reach 10 points and sits atop the Western Conference. Colorado had five road wins after Christmas last year.

- Phil Kessel picked up his league-leading sixth goal for Toronto.

- The Florida Panthers crushed the Tampa Bay Lightning 7-4 last night thanks to a huge night on special teams.  Florida racked up five power play goals and a shorthanded marker.  Stephen Weiss led the way with a four-point night.

- Tampa Bay is struggling in large part because of 42-year-old goalie Dwayne Roloson, who’s allowed 12 goals on the last 51 shots he’s faced.

- Marc-Andre Bergeron picked up three assists for the Lightning, giving him eight points on the season.  He had eight points in 23 games last season.

- The Jets picked up their first win last night, a 2-1 victory over a raucous crowd in Winnipeg.  That means only two teams have yet to win a game this season – Columbus and the New York Rangers.

- Anaheim picked up its fourth-straight win, a 3-2 victory over the San Jose Sharks.  The Sharks have dropped three in a row.

- 41-year-old Teemu Selanne scored twice for Anaheim including a goal on the power play which moved him into fifth all-time.

- The St. Louis Blues put Andy McDonald on injured reserve with a concussion.

- Pittsburgh forward Tyler Kennedy also has concussion-like symptoms.

- International Scouting Services released its top 30 players for the 2012 draft.

- These might be the 2012 Winter Classic jerseys.

- There are 10 games on the schedule tonight.  Pittsburgh @ Minnesota will be on Versus at 7:30 p.m. ET.
