Christian Thomas (OHL)

Thomas was suspended for 10 games for a high-sticking major in Sunday’s game.  The punishment seems excessive, but Jess Rubenstein reports that because Thomas is a repeat offender, he was subject to a harsher punishment.  Thomas had finally gotten on track but this suspension could derail his season.  It’s been an uneven last couple of months for Thomas to say the least.

Dylan McIlrath (WHL)

McIlrath took an elbow to the head on Sunday and may have a concussion.

St. Croix was the second-star of the game on Friday in what Jess Rubenstein called “the single most impressive display from a Ranger prospect this season.  St. Croix racked up three points in one shift and has a seven-game point scoring streak in which he’s posted three goals and eight assists.
