- Andrew Gross pointed out that prior to Erik Cole’s goal on Saturday New York had only trailed for 42 seconds during its win streak.

- Prior to Saturday’s loss to Montreal the Rangers were the only team in the league that hadn’t lost a game by more than two goals

- Prior to Saturday’s loss New York had not allowed more than three goals in a game since October 29.

- Martin Biron had yielded three goals in 3+ games this season before allowing four on Saturday.  Biron had not allowed more than three goals since October 27, 2010.

- The Blueshirts are one of just five teams that have yet to allow a shorthanded goal this season.  The others: Edmonton, Boston, Dallas and the New York Islanders.

- The Rangers are 5-1-1 at home and 5-3-2 on the road.

- Five teams have a better goal differential than New York’s +9.  The Bruins are a league-best +25.

- New York is second in the league in goals against per game, 17th in goals for, ninth on the penalty kill and 27th on the power play.

- Brad Richards has scored six goals and is on pace for 29, which would be a career high.

- Ryan McDonagh leads the Rangers with a plus-9 rating.  No other skater is better than plus-6.  Steve Eminger is still a team-worst minus-3, but Eminger is a plus-3 over his last three games and a plus-4 in November.

- Dan Girardi has 45 blocked shots this year to lead the Rangers.  Girardi still leads the NHL in average ice-time at 27:49.

- New York has 285 penalty minutes this season, fourth-most in the league.

- New York hasn’t been beaten when outshooting an opponent this season.  The Rangers have averaged a league-worst 25.4 shots per game.

- Brian Boyle has one goal in his last 32 games.

- The Blueshirts have scored just 13 times in the second period this year, second-fewest in the NHL.

- New York has allowed just nine first period goals this year, second-fewest in the NHL.

- New York has scored three four-on-four goals this season, tied for the most in the league.

- The Rangers are 10-2-0 with Jeff Woywitka in the lineup, 7-1-0 with Andre Deveaux in the lineup, 5-1-0 with Sean Avery in the lineup, and 7-2-3 with Mike Sauer in the lineup.
