The Maven Joins the Bulletin
MSG's Stan Fischler to contribute monthly for Blueshirt Bulletin

New York, NY -- Stan Fischler, MSG Broadcaster and hockey
historian who currently contributes daily to MSG GameOn Blog, has impacted the hockey world with his unique and insightful
coverage in all forms of media throughout the United States and Canada for over
50 years.
"The Maven," as he is referred to for his wealth of hockey knowledge,
now extends his coverage to the only independent monthly publication covering
the New York Rangers, the Blueshirt Bulletin.
"Blueshirt Bulletin is proud to have Stan Fischler become part of
the family, " said Editor and Publisher Daniel Akeson. "Stan is a
good friend and a well respected voice in the hockey community."

Fischler will be contributing a monthly column beginning with the December
issue focusing on unique stories of New York Rangers history as well as
analysis of the 2009 – 10 Rangers team.

Fischler and Akeson began working together several years ago, work which has
paid off in Fischler and co-author Glenn “Chico” Resch’s newest book, Who's
Better: Rangers, Devils, Islanders, or the Flyers. The book examines the
best debates of which team reigns supreme in a variety of categories such as
"Best Stanley Cup Team" and "Best Captain of a Championship
Team."
"The content of the book is incredibly interesting as it serves both as a
point of debate and discussion for rival fans as well as historical insight
into the four franchises," said Akeson. "Stan and Chico bring a
hockey voice that cannot be replicated."
Fischler has authored or co-authored over 90 books in his career, but has taken
a different approach to this latest publishing.
"This book is for the fans, anyone can pick it up and enjoy it," said
Fischler. "Unlike a strict hockey history book, Who's Better incorporates fan perspective with interesting analysis, debate, and
tales."
The book is currently sold online through the website WhosBetter.net and will
be in book stores in time for the holidays.
