The New York Rangers have recalled Magnus Hellberg and he is expected to backup Henrik Lundqvist on Tuesday evening against the Dallas Stars.

Antti Raanta started Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens, but he left the game with a lower body injury.

After the game Vigneault spoke about Raanta, and we now know he will be unavailable for at least Tuesday’s contest.

This season Hellberg has appeared in 25 games for the Hartford Wolf Pack and has a record of 10-9-4 with a 2.91 goals against average and a .905 save percentage. His most recent appearance was a 2-1 overtime victory against the St. John’s IceCaps in which he made 29 saves.

Last season Hellberg backstopped Hartford with a record of 30-20-3 with a goals against average of 2.40 and a .918 save percentage.

Here is an extended look at Hellberg this season by game and by month.
