The third star of the game Tim Gettinger’s 12th goal of the season capped a third-period rally to give his Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds a 4-3 come from behind win over the Sudbury Wolves. The unassisted goal at 16:42 of the third period helped the Greyhounds extend their winning streak to nine games.

The Greyhounds had trailed 3-2 early in the third period tied the score and then after killing off a double-minor for high-sticking, Gettinger would strip the puck away from a Sudbury defender then carry the puck all the way to the Sudbury goal before beating the Sudbury goalie for what turned out to be the game-winner.

For Gettinger beside the goal being his 12th on the season was also his second game-winning goal of the season and improved his season totals to 12-10-22. The Greyhounds have the second-best record in the OHL at 18-3-2, one point behind the Sarnia Sting who have played one more game than the Greyhounds.

Ty Ronning had a goal to extend his goal-scoring streak to 11 games as his Vancouver Giants lost to the Lethbridge Hurricanes 5-2. Ronning scored in the third period to cut Lethbridge’s lead to 4-2 but it was not enough.

It was a typical Ronning goal as he used his wrist shot to beat the Lethbridge goalie high on the goal side (1:36)

Ronning improves to 24-11-35 remains second in goals and ninth in points in the WHL.
